Job Title: Product Owner / Product Manager Location: Remote (Canada) Duration: 6+ Months (Contract) Client Domain: Product-based Company specializing in SaaS HRMS (Human Resource Management System) applications tailored for public sector organizations About the Role: We are seeking a Product Owner / Product Manager with a strong background in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) products to join our remote team in Canada. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and has a proven track record of defining product requirements, creating user stories, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performing SaaS solutions. Mandatory Requirement: • Extensive experience working on SaaS-based applications - understanding of cloud architectures, subscription models, and multi-tenant systems. Key Responsibilities: • Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and goals aligned with business strategy. • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. • Write detailed functional specifications and technical requirements for development teams. • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with customer and business priorities. • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery. • Lead sprint ceremonies - planning, reviews, and retrospectives - to support continuous improvement. • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback sessions to drive product innovation. • Partner with stakeholders to ensure product releases are well-coordinated and meet quality standards. • Analyze product performance metrics and user behavior to identify improvement opportunities. • Serve as the subject matter expert for SaaS platform features, user flows, and integrations. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager (preferably in SaaS environments). • Proven expertise in writing clear requirements and user stories for complex applications. • Deep understanding of SaaS architecture, deployment models, and customer lifecycle. • Strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies and best practices. • Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, or similar platforms. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Analytical thinker with a data-driven mindset and strong problem-solving abilities. • Proven ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams.
