To learn more about PCI, visit www.pcz.com.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Reports to:    </strong>President, CEO</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Summary:     </strong>The Controller is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, internal controls, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. As such, this position will manage the day-to-day activities of accounting and human resource functions including AR, AP, payroll, benefits, and corporate insurance. This role leads a team of three individuals and will have direct contact with key personnel at all staff levels which requires strong interpersonal communication skills.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><p>·        Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including the posting of all necessary General Ledger entries.</p><p>·        Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports including shareholder reporting.</p><p>·        Complete all Balance Sheet and bank reconciliations monthly.</p><p>·        Administer HR benefits, onboarding of employees, workers compensation management and other human resource duties as needed.</p><p>·        Monitor and report cash positions as required.</p><p>·        Manage relationships and negotiate with outside vendors including banking, insurance, and benefit brokers.</p><p>·        Coordinate and assist outside CPA for the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.</p><p>·        Provide operational recommendations to enhance accuracy, transparency and efficiency in financial reporting and internal control improvements.</p><p>·        Oversee daily accounting activities of the company including Payroll, Certified Payroll, AP, AR, credit card transactions, billing, and project setup.</p><p>·        Proficient in reading and interpreting professional service contracts.</p><p>·        Works closely with CEO to establish the corporation's annual budget and targets for financial vitality.</p><p>·        Keep up to date on general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.</p><p>·        Assist the CEO and other Principals in analysis of financial reports related to project management and staffing management.</p><p>·        Assist in the preparation of the yearly firm multiplier, billing rates, including prevailing wage and overhead rates.</p><p>·        Manage, train, evaluate and mentor Accounting and Administrative staff to improve work quality and output.</p><p>·        Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties.</p><p><br></p><p><em>Note: Other duties may be assigned</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><p>Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and 6+ years work experience including as a Controller or Assistant Controller.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>·        Strong leadership and management skills with an initiative-taking, solution-driven mindset.</p><p>·        Expertise in GAAP, cost control, financial reporting, and budgeting.</p><p>·        Knowledge of Certified Payroll reporting.</p><p>·        Strong verbal, written and people skills with the ability to collaborate with staff and both internal and external customers.</p><p>·        Exceptional facility with using accounting software, preferably Deltek Ajera, to manage projects and support financial decisions.</p><p>·        Excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.</p><p>·        Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</p><p>·        Ability to manage workload fluxes and meeting the unexpected challenges associated with a small and agile business.</p><p>·        Skilled in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables) and the Microsoft suite of products.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>·        Sitting – Remaining in a seated position for periods of time.</p><p>·        Standing or Walking – Remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about or move about on foot.</p><p>·        Alternate Sitting or Standing at Will – The ability to alternate between sitting and standing as needed</p><p>·        Lifting or Carrying – Raise or lower an object from one level to another, transporting an object from one place to another.</p><p>·        Reaching at or below shoulder level while filing paperwork.</p><p>·        Keyboarding – Entering data into a computer using a keyboard and mouse.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation: </strong>This is an exempt, salaried, full-time management position with benefits including: health, vision, dental and life/AD&D insurance, Safe Harbor 401k Plan, paid holidays and discretionary time off.
