Apply now and energize your career with a true leader in the global energy transformation.</p><p></p><p><b>Title: </b>Senior Associate, Project Finance</p><p></p><p><b>Location: </b>Salt Lake City, UT (100% telecommuting permitted anywhere in US)</p><p></p><p><b>Employer:</b> AES Clean Energy Services, LLC</p><p></p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p></p><p>Extensive financial modeling in Microsoft Excel providing quantitative assessment of optimal debt and tax equity structures; Work within organization to ensure data room is complete and accessible for third-party capital providers; Prepare marketing materials for debt and tax equity request for proposals for indicative economic terms; Assist manager in negotiation of market leading financing structures by providing financial analysis; Provide data and coordinate with appraiser, independent engineer, insurance, transmission consultants, and other third parties on project financings; Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to assist in managing construction financing draws; Assist manager in pre and/or post-closing interest rate hedging responsibilities;</p><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><p></p><p>Job requires a Master’s degree in Energy Finance, Mathematical Sciences, Energy & Sustainability or a related field.</p><p></p><p>Job requires a <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">license/certification</span> as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1.</p><p></p><p>Job requires experience in each of the following:  Building complex, multi-layered solar/wind project financial models to analyze project economics including IRR and NPV; Running scenario/sensitivity analysis and GAAP Accounting concepts/treatment in financial modes; Building tax equity financing model with back leverage and partnership flip structure; Coding Skills (VBA); Optimizing Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) with third party capital, with experience in debt sizing and tax equity sizing; Experience in US renewable energy Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC), their requirements, including and Energy Community Adder, Domestic Content, and Transferability rules; Experience in weighing different depreciation systems, including Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) and bonus depreciation; and US energy market, including ISO/RSO and PPA structure, energy trading <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">instruments/mechanism</span> including Renewable Energy Credits and Locational Marginal Pricing, different kinds of energy sources including gas, solar and wind, with understanding in baseload and peak load.
