General Description:

The Associate Director, Global Talent Management – Europe (BeOne Medicines) will serve as both a strategic leader and a tactical problem-solver.  This role will lead, adapt, and operationalize global talent initiatives in Europe, ensuring alignment with BeOne’s HR strategy pillars – Global Foresight, HR Excellence, Leadership Empowerment, and Exceptional People – while advancing BeOne Medicines’ strategy.

The Associate Director will support operational objectives, policies, and procedures, while simultaneously shaping long-term talent strategies that impact regional success and global alignment.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Talent Strategy & Succession:

    • Partner with global and regional HR leaders to adapt global programs to European needs while maintaining global alignment & consistency.

    • Define and drive regional talent strategies that enable growth, leadership, and workforce readiness in Europe.

    • Lead annual talent management trainings and support HRBP with (succession planning, critical roles identification, talent reviews) while ensuring integration with global frameworks.

    • Support regional HRBPs with external and internal pipeline identification for regional/functional critical roles, ensuring strong candidate pools.
       

  • Performance & Growth:

    • Provide tools, frameworks, and coaching for managers to foster continuous feedback and colleague growth.

    • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and development opportunities.
       

  • Leadership Development:

    • Facilitate leadership assessments discussions, succession planning, and targeted development to strengthen pipelines.

    • Partner with Talent Development to align regional leadership programs with global priorities.
       

  • Colleague Engagement

    • Regionalize colleague engagement through: supporting surveys and engagement initiatives, embed EVP into all programs and aligning with Corporate Communication team on engagement programs.
       

  • Operational Excellence:

    • Establish objectives – report on program success, ROI and metrics.
       

  • Stakeholder Partnership:

    • Advise European HRBPs on talent strategy; influence outcomes using data-driven insights and collaboration.

    • Collaborate with global COEs and counterparts in APAC and US to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.

Other Qualifications:    

  • Proven ability to design and implement strategic and operational talent management initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, evaluation, and reporting skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade in complex, sensitive contexts while preserving relationships.

  • Highly skilled in program and project management, with strong organizational capabilities.

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages strongly preferred.

Travel:  10 - 15%
