The New York Hilton Midtown is looking for a Front Office Operations Trainee to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hotel front office operations, and flexibility to work shifts across weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Shift Pattern: Full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays needed

Pay Range: $33.00 - $35.00 / hour

What will I be doing?

As a Front Office Operations Trainee, you would be responsible for providing support to the Front Office department manager(s).

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Responsible for overseeing the productivity of the Operations Team. Ensuring the operation is operating efficiently. Stay in communication with all key departments throughout the day. Oversee room reservations and front office systems.

  • Manage the desk, resolve guest concerns, and handle any challenges that may occur during the assigned shift. Implement resolutions by using discretion and judgment.

  • Promote Hilton Honors and its associated benefits to guests who are not already enrolled in the program, ensuring that existing Hilton Honors members receive personal and professional service that recognizes them as important guests and that their benefits are received.

  • Ensure that the day-to-day functions of the front desk are completed, including but not limited to the Operation Manager's checklists, trace reports, VIP reports, service recovery, and out-of-order follow-up.

  • Front Office representation at daily Operations Meetings.

  • Provide support to the Department with all streams of other revenue.
