Ryder is hiring a CDL A Local Dry Van Driver in Hutchinson, KS. A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day. Compensation:

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,100-$1,300
    • 59 CPM with 1,600-1,900 miles per week
    • Stop pay: $25.00 per stop with 8-10 stops per week
  • Bonuses
    • Sign on bonus: $2,000- $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
    • Unlimited driver referral bonuses
  • Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

  • Home Daily
  • Start Time: Mainly late afternoon to late night dispatch times
  • Fri - Tues work week, off every Wed and Thurs
  • Route: KS, OK
  • Touch freight – food & home goods
    • May use pallet jack, Ryder will train you on all equipment

Equipment:

  • Trucks are 36 months or newer
  • Day cab
  • Dry van or Reefer, 53’
  • 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid CDL A License
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
    • Ryder will reimburse cost and provide training
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Must live within 30 miles of Hutchinson, KS
