OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing the guests with efficient bell service by ensuring luggage be delivered, collected, and/or stored promptly and accurately all the time. Meanwhile, should be more pro-active in practicing the salesmanship to promote the hotel products in any guest interaction.

PRIMARY DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Be well groomed and conform to the hotel's dress code
  • Be at work on time in proper uniform, including name tag
  • Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards
  • Be knowledgeable about guest rooms, locations, amenities, features and all other services offered by the hotel
  • Directing guests to their rooms in a professional manner, which includes addressing the guest by name
  • Check in dry cleaning and make sure items are delivered to their respective owners in a timely manner
  • Assist in arranging and following through with shuttle services
  • Distributing the newspaper to guests and other departments that are concerned
  • Be knowledgeable about Marriott Rewards, Club Marquis and other frequent traveler programs
  • Know how to follow all hospitality guidelines
  • Ensure the cleanliness of your area at all times
  • Assist all guests in problems and questions as required
  • Be flexible in regard to work schedule
  • Have knowledge about the city, the local area and attractions to provide the guests with all requested information
  • At all times, strive to represent Marriott in the most professional manner
  • Be disciplined at all times, greet guests immediately and offer assistance before the guest needs to ask
  • Be present in the lobby to welcome guest's during guest's arrival and departure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Be able to stay on feet for up to 8 hours
  • Lift and/or move 30 pounds 50% of the time
  • Lift and/or move 50 pounds 5% of the time
