Snap Care has had the pleasure of working with Zara, her parents, and case management company for several years; starting with an SEN Nanny! Soon Zara will be turning 13 years old, and transitioning to 2:1 day support, therefore she would like a Support Worker / PA to join her small, dedicated team. She lives at home in Chislehurst with her Mum, Dad and two younger sisters; family is very important to Zara, and she loves being a big sis. Her hobbies include swimming (swimming pool at home), and music (listening to and making her own). Zara has Cerebral Palsy, a PEG in situ, Epilepsy (controlled via medication) and is a full-time wheelchair user. Zara enjoys a blended liquid diet and receives her medication and liquid via her PEG. She communicates through body language, facial expressions, and sounds/noises. Zara’s family home is designed to meet all her needs, and full bespoke training is provided as part of your induction.

Zara requires practical hands-on support with all aspects of her ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). The afternoon shift starts with the school run from 2.30pm, either coming home, or attending an activity, appointment or planned event. Zara has a care plan and structured routine which her SEN Support Worker / PA will follow and implement. Throughout the school holidays, there is much more scope to plan fun activities and trips out and about. You will be working on a 2:1 basis alongside another member of Zara’s support team. A proactive, reliable, and caring, *female SEN Support Worker / PA. For this position you must have some experience supporting children or teenagers with additional needs.

This vacancy is being managed through Snap Care’s Shortlist Service.
