Fashion & Beauty Writer - Marie Claire UK

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Beauty Director and Fashion Director, you'll pitch and write multiple daily beauty and fashion articles. You'll update existing beauty and fashion content to support key goals across traffic, audience and ecommerce, and work alongside the social media editor and team to translate beauty and fashion content onto relevant social platforms, including first-person video and stills.

You'll closely partner with Ecommerce and Audience leads to monetise beauty and fashion content, support the Beauty Director and Fashion Director in larger-scale editorial projects and assist in the production of the annual Beauty Awards content and planning.

You'll act as a brand representative in the beauty and fashion industries; be a visible voice and presence on Marie Claire UK channels, including social and self-shot beauty content.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Experience writing for the fashion and beauty sectors
  • Familiarity with SEO best practice and Ecommerce
  • Experience using a CMS
  • An eye for upcoming trends and understanding of our audience
  • Comfortable self-shooting and being on camera for socials
