Job Summary:

As a member of a world class claims team, you will be accountable for investigating and resolving moderate complexity homeowner property claims in multiple state jurisdictions for both first and third party customers. This work is accomplished in a manner that supports superior customer service and overall accuracy with appropriate “urgency” at all times. Superior verbal and written communication skills are required to communicate as needed throughout the claims process. Must have strong organizational skills and be able to work independently with minimal to moderate management involvement.

Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities: As Property Claims Adjuster, you will promptly investigate the facts of loss, coverage, liability and damages on losses. Accurately document all investigative activity and secure appropriate claim documentation within our claims and document management systems. Develop and maintain file summaries and action plans from the point of assignment and throughout the life of the claim. Handle incoming calls real time whenever possible and return all messages in a timely manner. Responsible for compliance with state insurance regulations and company claims handling guidelines at all times, and any and all other duties assigned by manager.

  • Prior moderate complexity insurance claims experience preferred
  • Prior customer service work experience required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to make timely and accurate decisions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal management oversight
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working in a highly productive team-oriented environment
  • College degree and/or bilingual in Spanish a plus

Other Important Information:

Location(s) – Remote in California, Texas and Arizona preferred

Time Zone: Ability to work PST and Central Time zones preferred

Competitive Compensation – Salaries will be established commensurate with experience. This is an hourly position which allows for you to be eligible for overtime occasionally, which increases your earning potential. We offer our Claims employees the option to work a 9/80 schedule, which provides a three-day weekend every other Friday.
