Overview

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Weapon System Test Engineer to join our team in Dahlgren to support testing of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS) software in various configurations (surface, subsurface, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)). This position requires on-site presence at our office in King George, VA, as well as our customer site at NSWC Dahlgren.

Travel: There are opportunities for travel, but it is not required. Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Bachelor's of science from an accredited university majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field of study Conduct testing of tactical weapon systems in various configurations and across multiple builds in a lab setting. Document pertinent information in lab logs Modify and troubleshoot lab hardware, equipment, simulators, and network configurations in a dynamic environment Perform data analysis of test output; identify and develop data extraction and data reduction elements for test procedures that aid in requirement verification Document system problems by creating change requests (CR)/problem reports (PR) Verify software fixes for CR/PR resolution Communicate testing event summaries verbally and in writing, including the ability to provide technical briefs, defend data analysis, and present at various technical reviews Prior US Navy fleet experience as an E-4 or above Fire Controlman (FC) or Fire Control Technician (FT) rate possessing the TTWCS Operation and Maintenance Technician NEC (V20A) or equivalent Experience with automated testing tools and methods Experience using Jira to document and track CRs/PRs as well as tracking tasks Education: BS inBachelor's of science from an accredited university majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field of study is required Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $68,000.00- $75,000.00 (USD). Our benefit offerings include comprehensive health and welfare plans to serve a variety of needs.
