Job Description
Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 31, 2026, with potential to extend
Work Set Up: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite in Sheffield office)
Our client in the IT Services & Consulting industry is looking for an Agile Product Owner to lead the implementation of OpenShift within a complex enterprise technology environment. This role will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring platform capabilities align with strategic objectives while delivering high-value outcomes across the organization. What you will do:
Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for OpenShift implementation.
Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and technical requirements with key stakeholders.
Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery teams.
Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
Manage and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical feasibility.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Monitor delivery progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies where required.
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards within the organization’s technology environment.
Act as the primary point of contact for OpenShift-related decisions and inquiries.
Qualifications
Proven experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar Agile delivery role.
Strong working knowledge of container technologies, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid cloud models.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to translate technical requirements into clear business outcomes.
Experience using backlog management and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is advantageous.
Contractor must be eligible for BPSS clearance.
Must operate under PAYE via Umbrella arrangement.
Additional Information
