Product Manager (Remote)

The Product Manager will be part of an innovative build team designing a state of the art, greenfield platform for our Health & Benefits customers. This role is responsible for contributing to product strategy and delivery including generating actionable content, collaborating with teams, managing ambiguity and driving outcomes. This role guides a team of engineers, designers, architects and quality assurance analysts with a single focus on developing a solution that delights and delivers value. This role will be defining and managing a product roadmap and feature backlog for a specific build team and will report to the Director, Product Management. Duties & Responsibilities: • Conducts and/or consumes market research and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities and threats. • Habitually conducts and/or participates in end user interviews, focus groups, user testing and rapid experimentation to ensure solutions are exceeding the needs of customers • Develops a product roadmap based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives. • Defines product requirements and features with detailed specifications. • Collaborates with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery and quality standards. • Prioritizes features and improvements, making trade-offs as needed. • Leads go-to-market activities, including collaborating with marketing to craft messaging, positioning, and launch strategies. • Monitors and reports on product performance post-launch, recommending iterative improvements based on feedback and data. • Uses analytics and data insights to make informed product decisions. • Tracks product usage, customer satisfaction, and business metrics to assess product performance. • Other duties as assigned Requirements: Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. • 3+ years of experience in product management or related field. • Strong understanding of software development processes and experience with Agile methodologies. • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making. • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills. • Superb writing skills with emphasis in storytelling and journey mapping • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Aha!, Productboard). • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making. Skills & Abilities: • Background in Health Care or start up strongly preferred • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and customer-centric design • Strong knowledge of software design principles • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution • Ability to work with minimal direction, and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules • Proven leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, and guide the creation of self-organizing teams • Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously and manage stressful situations • Ability to provide and accept guidance and constructive feedback • Desire for continuous improvement through learning and study of modern product management best practices, UX and user-centered design, and user research techniques Other Requirements: • Ability to work occasional overtime • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Req Benefits: The compensation for this position will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive and bonus opportunities.
