Kennel Hand -FULL TIME

Cliffe Kennels is a family owned busy working kennels offering Rescue, Boarding facilities and stray kennels.

We are looking for a hard working, dedicated and committed new member to join our team.

It is essential that applicants have the following.

* ESSENTIAL - Experience of working with different breeds of dogs in a KENNEL ENVIRONMENT

* ESSENTIAL -A passion and understanding of dogs.

* ESSENTIAL -Keen to work and be a committed member of the team

ESSENTIAL - Full clean manual driving licence for over 1 year.

ESSENTIAL - MUST live within 20 mins of S36 for out of hours contracts.

Applicants should also.

* Have the ability to listen and follow instructions.

* NVQ or similar preferred but not essential.

* Training to NVQ standard is available for the right applicant.

* A good understanding of English both written and oral is needed.

* Be friendly & approachable with customers.

The successful applicant must be able to work as part of the team with trust built with the other team members.

The role is varied and interesting but hard work if you have a passion for dogs. It will involve cleaning, feeding, walking & playing with the dogs as well as transport runs to collect dogs and take to vets. No two days are the same.

Applicants MUST be able to work to time scales.

Ideal candidates would be able to ensure our dogs have stimulation and interaction and be able to see changes in the dogs behaviour.

Helping adopters by discussing the dogs with them and ensuring the dogs and adopters are well matched.

Keeping clear records for the dogs & preparing adoption paperwork.

2 nights a week on call for which a bonus is paid.

Alternate weekend working.
