Freelance Videographer/Editor

Are you a passionate, creative videographer and editor with a pulse on social media trends? We're a high-end bathroom and kitchen remodeling company in Kansas City, and we’re looking for fresh talent to help us capture video content that grabs attention organically and keeps viewers coming back to our social media platforms.

What You’ll Do:

On-Site Filming

  • Visit customer homes across the Kansas City Metro to capture behind-the-scenes moments and high-quality b-roll during kitchen and bathroom remodels.
  • Return to capture completed remodels, shooting a mix of polished b-roll and fun, action shots that can be used in both TV commercials and social media content.

Editing & Content Creation

  • Edit short-form social media videos (15–30 seconds) from the captured footage
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that the social media videos are trend-aware, attention-grabbing, and align with the company brand.
  • Provide completed files to the marketing team in a timely manner, to meet social media posting schedules.

Organization & Future Use

  • Keep all project footage well-organized and accessible
  • Ensure clips can be easily pulled and repurposed for future campaigns

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in videography and editing, with samples of short-form social media videos for brands (15–30 seconds preferred)
  • Own your own camera equipment and editing software
  • Strong sense of current social media trends and what drives organic attention
  • A creative eye for framing, lighting, and storytelling
  • Reliable, responsive, and quick with editing turnaround times
  • Highly organized with project files and footage
  • A self-starter who takes creative risks and brings fresh ideas to life

What to Expect:

  • Opportunity to film 1–3 new projects each month (This number is subject to change)
  • Number of videos delivered will vary depending on footage captured and repurposed, estimated at 4–8 videos per month (This number is subject to change)
  • Freelance role with flexible scheduling to accommodate customer availability
  • Payment structure can be negotiated per project or per hour
  • Chance to showcase your creativity while building content for one of Kansas City’s leading home remodeling companies
