SALARY: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum

LOCATION: You can work remotely from home. But must live in the North Wales or North West England region as you will be required to visit the Head Office in Llandudno, Conwy, Wales regularly

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must have a recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Manager / Management Accountant who can lead forecasting, financial modelling and analysis to drive informed decision-making across the organisation.

As a Finance Manager / Management Accountant you will support budgeting cycles, develop financial insights and strengthen financial control to enhance operational and strategic performance.

The Finance Manager / Management Accountant will also improve financial systems, support automation, ensure compliance and provide clear, data-driven reporting to stakeholders.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Finance Manager / Management Accountant include:

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Lead forecasting, cashflow monitoring and long-term planning
  • Financial Modelling: Support financial models for bids, contracts and partnerships
  • Management Reporting: Produce management accounts, variance analysis and performance insights
  • Compliance and Audit: Maintain audit readiness and alignment with funder requirements
  • Systems Development: Strengthen finance systems and integrations including Xero and CRM
  • Data and Automation: Implement dashboards and reporting tools to enhance performance visibility
  • Budgeting Support: Manage the annual budgeting process and coach non-financial managers
  • Performance Monitoring: Track budgets and provide actionable financial advice
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee reconciliations, AP/AR processes, VAT, payroll checks and reporting
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Promote collaboration, accountability and process improvement

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Proven experience of financial planning, reporting and compliance
  • Advanced user of Xero with strong management accounting knowledge
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly

DESIRABLE

  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
  • A background in education, training or skills sectors
  • Previous experience with public funding streams such as ESFA, DfE or Welsh Government
