This role is to provide clinical informatics services to individuals, physicians, departments, and agencies that are a part of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. They participate in the assessment of needs pertaining to clinical information systems, including hardware, software, staff development and management support. In addition, they provide content expertise that supports care area teams in the development of process flows, order sets, protocols, and online forms. This position is responsible for order set management.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Experience</b></p><ul><li>Minimum five -years of experience in clinical practice at the bedside and/or information systems-related activities</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Experience in pediatrics</li><li>Combination of clinical practice and information system implementations.</li><li>Proficient user of a healthcare-based HIS system.</li><li>Experience in Nursing management or EPIC application support</li><li>Master’s in health-related field</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science in a health-related field required. Ten years of clinical experience In lieu of Bachelor’s degree</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Certification Summary</b></p><ul><li>Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia with current credentials required</li><li>EPIC content builder or EPIC module certification preferred or attained within 1 year of employment</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</b></p><ul><li>Strong customer service skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills must be organized and can analyze, and trouble shoot problems</li><li>Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate an understanding of project management tools, methodologies and techniques</li><li>Ability to multi-task is essential, as is the ability to function in stressful and emergency situations</li><li>Strong detail orientation and time management skills</li><li>Knowledge of clinical practice settings and clinical workflow in a hospital setting</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Responsible for order set management which include but is not limited to the following:</li><li>Maintaining aggregated enterprise Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Order catalog.</li><li>Developing a schedule for routine review and update of all catalogued content.</li><li>Creating and maintaining Subject Matter Expert (SME) order sets and protocols.</li><li>Facilitating collaborative environment processes.</li><li>Facilitating in-person meetings with SMEs as necessary.</li><li>Co-chairing appropriate governance committee.</li><li>Facilitate the Order Set Coordination efforts which includes but is not limited to the following: Maintaining aggregated enterprise Children’s Order catalog, participating and facilitating related governance meetings, developing and maintaining a schedule for routine review and updating of all catalogued content, creating and maintaining Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) order sets and protocols, leveraging analytics to monitor order set utilization and inform decision making, maintaining Order Set management portal, facilitating order set review process with SME’s, collaborating with application analyst on build requests, maintaining and using order set tool to assist with order set content management, overseeing and maintaining downtime order sets.</li><li>Develop in-depth knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and processes to function effectively as an educator and expert for system users.</li><li>Advise clinical operational users on integration of technical systems with their workflows.</li><li>Participate actively in routine meetings with department heads and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize their needs.</li><li>Perform rounds with departments to maintain casual interface with individuals and focus on relationship-building.</li><li>Follow Information Systems & Technology project management protocol.</li><li>Advocate user perspective and focuses on ensuring a comprehensive support plan and documentation.</li><li>Work with end users to navigate the project request process.
