BAT Coordinators communicate with Individual and Facility Providers regarding authorization requests for higher levels of care (Inpatient, Residential, and Partial Hospitalization) for mental health and substance abuse disorder services on behalf of our customers.</p><p></p><p>Employees in this role are expected to provide exceptional customer service, collaborating closely with inpatient Care Coordinators, Care Managers, facilities and individual providers to ensure proper access and utilization of benefits.</p><p><b><span>Must be available to work Mon-Fri 10:30am-7:00pm CST/EST.</span></b></p><p></p><p><b><u>RESPONSIBILITIES: </u></b></p><ul><li><p>Answer and process provider calls for Cigna Behavioral Health and Care Allies</p></li><li><p>Validate HIPAA, verify eligibility & benefits, provide referrals, and complete authorization and handoff processes.</p></li><li><p>Utilize workflows to efficiently and accurately make nonclinical decisions and complete authorization and/or handoff process based on Fast Cert Authorization criteria</p></li><li><p>Participate in implementing tasks related to increasing holistic approach to management of customer cases including meaningful engagement, aftercare follow-up planning and integration of services with matrix partners.</p></li><li><p>Process electronic authorization requests</p></li><li><p>Triage follow up requests for authorization and coordinate between the caller and Care Manager/Care Management Teams.</p></li><li><p>Research complicated cases, i.e. eligibility, escalated cases, etc.</p></li><li><p>Participate in assigned workgroups and opportunities for stretch assignments</p></li><li><p>Attend and participate in team meetings.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>QUALIFICATIONS:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelors degree required</p></li><li><p>At least 1 year of relevant work experience</p></li><li><p>Experienced and skilled in working with multiple PC systems and applications, efficient in responding to requests while simultaneously maneuvering various computer screens among multiple systems while able to meet metrics and adhere to IEX scheduling requirements.</p></li><li><p>Strong customer service skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to project warmth and empathy</p></li><li><p>Effective listening & organizational skills</p></li><li><p>Detail oriented</p></li><li><p>Proven customer service skills</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><br><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 24 - 36 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>We want you to be healthy, balanced, and feel secure.
